April Lockdown II
No spring will be like this one. Like every year, cherry trees are blooming, seeds are sprouting and the land is awakening but we’re not around to feel it. We can’t smell the flowers or feel the sun on our faces because we’re fighting a war – and in order to prevail we have to stay at home.
This photo series will be a reminder of a different spring – a dark one but as full of hope as every blooming cherry tree. In this photo, each flower is tightly surrounded by the rest of the bunch, protected as they relate to other bunches through the net of branches. Just like our friends and family groups checking on us through phone calls or social media, just like the neighbors talking from balcony to balcony, making sure no person is left alone with no help.
